Small center chimney, 3-bay, gambrel-roof cottage purchased from Clark ca. 1890 and moved a short distance to its present site. Major alterations and additions around 1890-94. Summer home of Boston author, poet, and social reformer Margaret Deland (1857-1945), who created a garden on the riverbank.
